Cognex VC5 vision controller

The Cognex VC5 Vision controller provides users with a pre-certified, just-in-time, trusted Cognex branded vision system to create, deploy and maintain 3D and 2D multi-camera machine vision applications.

The Cognex VC5 Vision controller connects directly to the Cognex Industrial GigE Vision camera and the Cognex 3D laser displacement sensor, and can be combined with four area scan, line scan or 3D displacement sensors. The use of certified integrated hardware and software eliminates the need for third-party component evaluation and avoids drive incompatibilities and similar performance issues, reducing development time and procurement complexity.

The VC5 has a robust fanless design without any moving components, which makes it extremely resistant to vibration and suitable for dusty industrial environments. The VC5 enables high-speed parallel image acquisition from a camera or 3D displacement sensor and is equipped with a range of discrete I/O, encoder inputs, deterministic precision I/O subsystems, and networking capabilities for common factory protocols.
