The award-winning DataMan 300/360 Series is Cognex's most feature-rich fixed code reader, offering multiple integrated lighting and lens options, intelligent auto-tuning, and a variety of models to choose from. The DataMan 300/360 Series can handle challenging Direct Part Mark (DPM) codes, tricky one-dimensional barcodes, and two-dimensional Matrix codes, and is suitable for indexing and high-speed production lines.

Outstanding Code Reading Performance

1DMax® combined with Hotbars II™ technology can decode damaged or poorly printed one-dimensional barcodes with an accuracy of up to 0.8 pixels per module (PPM).

2DMax® offers reliable two-dimensional code reading performance, unaffected by code quality, printing methods, or code surface conditions. It employs the patented PowerGrid™ technology to locate and read severely damaged two-dimensional codes, regardless of aim pattern, clocking pattern, or quiet zone conditions.

Flexible Optical and Lighting Configurations

Integrated controllable modular lighting and optical configurations allow you to choose the appropriate lens based on working distance and field of view, including zoom liquid lens technology. Users can use field-replaceable controllable lighting modules to create optimal illumination conditions for their workpieces, ensuring the highest read rates.

The DataMan 360 model features an intelligent image buffer function that provides performance feedback to address issues and improve image storage performance during the process. It also offers a 360-degree visible read indicator and a Micro SD card for system-level backup, convenient device recovery, or replacement.

Auto-Tuning

The intelligent auto-tuning function automatically selects the optimal settings for each application's integrated lighting, auto-focus, and imager. This adjustment process ensures that the code reader is set to read one-dimensional, two-dimensional barcodes, and Direct Part Mark codes at the highest read rates.

The liquid lens can be adjusted through software or serial commands without physical contact with the code reader, and it takes only a few milliseconds to refocus, without any moving parts involved.
