Particle Medication Defect Detection

Background

Prior to packaging granular medications, it is necessary to conduct defect detection on each granule. Manual inspection of each batch of medication is relatively inefficient, and the work can be fatiguing, leading to visual fatigue.

 

System Overview

The system employs a 1,000,000-pixel CCD industrial camera with a working distance of 180mm and uses two white linear light sources for illumination. Through an intelligent image processing system, it achieves fast and accurate inspection of each granular medication. The system can simultaneously inspect the color, external appearance, and character recognition on each granule, ensuring strict quality control of the medication.

 

System Performance

This vision inspection system has found extensive application on the customer's production line. It reaches or exceeds customer expectations in terms of inspection success rates. The production line can inspect 300 batches of medication per minute, resulting in a significant boost in production efficiency. The system eliminates various human factors during the product quality control process, reducing the workload and the number of workstations, thereby saving labor costs for the company.
