Did you know that Cognex machine vision software introduces INSPECTION DESIGNER?

           Cognex launches VisionPro 7.0 machine vision software , introducing a new concept called Inspection Designer that simplifies the development and on-site maintenance of inspection applications. VisionPro 7.0 also adds the industry’s best barcode reading tool, 1DMax™, optimized for omnidirectional and difficult-to-read 1D barcodes, as well as multiple new tools and reading enhancements. 

The introduction of Inspection Designer, for the first time for general inspection applications, provides vision system integrators and end users with capabilities that simplify the specification, development and maintenance of inspection applications. Inspection Designer has three main advantages: 

1. Definition of defects:

A new image grading utility that enables integrators and end users to easily grade product images and specify different defect types in individual images. The Image Rating utility creates a library of rated images for use in the next steps. 

2. Verification:

Verification tools help developers quickly confirm that a vision system is obtaining the desired results by comparing the inspection result ratings of hundreds, or even thousands, of saved and rated images. 

3. On-site maintenance:

Validation tools also allow end users to retest inspection tools at any time against a library of graded images to confirm that factory floor adjustments will not affect previous inspection applications. It also allows users to add new images to the library of rated artifacts.

VisionPro® 7.0 also features a variety of new features and enhancements, including: 

•Software tool 1DMax for processing omnidirectional and difficult-to-read barcodes. 1DMax can read barcodes that other software cannot, including codes with specular reflections, damage, background noise, and/or rotation. 

•Supports the use of the MVS-8602e CameraLink® board in Microsoft® Windows®7 64-bit operating system, which can quickly read large images that require larger memory.
