Top academicians and well-known experts gather to discuss cooperation and development of flexible electronics industry

The 2022 China Flexible Electronics Industry Development Conference invited Peng Xiaojun, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Dean, professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Chemical Engineering of Dalian University of Technology, and Zhu Huilong, academician of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences and researcher of the Institute of Microelectronics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, among which five top domestic academicians attended the event.

Academician Zhu Huilong delivered a keynote report entitled "New Progress in Vertical Nanotransistor Manufacturing Technology". Vertical nano transistors play an irreplaceable role in artificial intelligence, automotive electronics and industry with advantages of high speed, high reliability and long service life. Academician Zhu Huilong introduced the new breakthroughs made by the team's scientific research results from many aspects, such as process methods, device structure, logic and storage prototype devices.

The conference also innovatively opened the "China, Japan and South Korea Flexible Electronics Pioneer Dialogue", and invited Huang Weibang, deputy General manager of Chengdu Flexible Electronics Research Institute, Park Yuanshu, president of China-Korea Future Innovation Accelerator, Nakajima Mitsushige, general manager of Exopto-Electronic Materials (China) Co., LTD., and other well-known Chinese, Japanese and South Korea enterprises to carry out dialogue with the theme of "Flexible electronics industry global market development Pattern".

When talking about why we chose to settle down in Chengdu High-tech Zone, Mr. Nakajima, general manager of Optoelectronic Materials (China) Co., Ltd. praised: "Chengdu has a relatively complete industrial cluster, in the use and mass production of new materials, has excellent technology, a huge consumer market and research and development cooperation foundation, especially the development of new high-performance materials has great potential."

In order to seize the current new opportunities for the development of flexible electronics industry, Academician Huang Wei put forward three proposals: to further gather the industrial layout and create the industrial base of flexible electronics "China Carbon Valley"; Focus on core technology research, strengthen the top-level design of flexible electronic innovation development; Strengthen personnel training and discipline construction, and fully tap the innovation potential of flexible electronic talents.
