Line array cameras, as the name suggests, are "line" shaped and use a line array image sensor. The width of the image is only a few pixels and the length is several K. When there is relative motion between the measured object and the camera, the line array camera is used for high-speed acquisition. After each line is collected, it moves to the next unit length, and then continues to collect the next line. After a period of time, the lines are combined. It becomes a two-dimensional picture.
How to choose a line scan camera?
1. Calculate resolution: width/*minimum detection accuracy = pixels required for each line
2. Select camera: width/number of pixels = actual detection accuracy
3. Movement speed length/accuracy per second = number of scanned lines per second
For example, the width is 1800 mm, the accuracy is 1 mm, and the movement speed is 25000 mm/s.
Camera: 1800/1=1800 pixels, minimum 2000 pixels, selected as 2k camera 1800/2048=0.9 Actual accuracy 25000mm/0.9mm=27.8KHz The selected camera should be 2048 pixels 28 KHz camera
