Cognex launches new In-Sight Micro 8000 series smart cameras

The Cognex In-Sight Micro 8000 series smart cameras include the world's smallest independent 5-megapixel vision system, a compact independent vision system with the same data transmission speed as a PC device.

It is understood that the camera includes Cognex PatMax Red Line pattern matching software, which is launched through the In-Sight browser. The camera measures 31×31×63mm, which is no larger than an image capture camera.
The camera has the same form factor as traditional "silent" Gigabit Ethernet vision cameras, supports Power over Ethernet, reduces cabling and is better suited for installation in tight spaces on robots and hard-to-reach machinery.
