CCD can be called a CCD image sensor. CCD is a semiconductor device that can convert optical images into digital signals. CCD vision is commonly understood as a camera equipped with a CCD chip. The advantages of CCD visual inspection mainly include the following five points:
1. High quantum power
This is the advantage. The average quantum power is 30% to 50%, and can reach up to 90%, which is about 100 times that of ordinary photographic films.
2. Wide spectral response range
The spectral response range of CCD is 400~1100nm, which is much extended to the near-infrared band than the sensitive band range of general photographic emulsions (350~700nm).
3. Good linearity
The imaging intensity is proportional to the incident light flux and has an excellent linear relationship.
4. Wide dynamic range
The CCD dynamic scale refers to the magnitude difference between the darkest stars and the brightest stars that can be explored. The dynamic range of CCD can reach 105, which is far better than that of film.
5. High resolution ability
The smaller the pixel standard, the higher the resolution. The pixel size of the CCD currently produced is 9-25 μm, which is consistent with the resolution ability of fine-grained films.
