  Industrial lenses are relatively sophisticated products. The lenses are manufactured using coating technology and their appearance is very delicate. If it is used for a long time, it needs to be cleaned regularly. Proper maintenance of the lens can extend the service life of the lens. Improper cleaning can damage polished surfaces and specialized coverings on substrates or lenses. 1. Keep the edge of the hand-held lens and never touch the lens surface with your fingers. Moisture from your fingers can sometimes damage the lens covering, and it can turn into a permanent stain if your fingers stay on the lens surface for too long. Even if you wear gloves, avoid touching the lens surface;

2. Do not use metal tools or pliers to handle the lens. By using wooden, bamboo, and plastic tools to handle the lens, you will reduce the chance of damage to the lens. For small lenses, you can use a handheld vacuum pen;

3. Keep placing the lens onto a soft surface, especially if the optical surface is convex. Placing it still on a hard tabletop will cause scratches on the surface;

4. For lens systems or assemblies, placing the lens cap on when not in use can protect the optical surface from damage;

5. When storing the lens, it needs to be wrapped separately in a clean, soft lens box and placed in a safe place. Never put unwrapped lenses together in a box or bag as they can be damaged if they come in contact with each other. Never place them under heavy objects.
